Steve Smith has dedicated his entire life to Music, and that pretty much sums up his quest since graduating from high school. Steve began performing in serveral professional touring bands on a full time basis for approximately 20 years and successfully earned a living in the process.
Steve studied Music Theory, Music History, Classical and Jazz Idioms at Sinclair Community College. He has played in several touring bands and has recording experience playing bass guitar on several original album projects for various local artists/groups. Steve most recently created a home recording studio and office, and has recently been mixing and recording and setting up a web site for he and his wife.
Steve has given bass guitar lessons throughout his lifetime at Guitar Attention Center in Springfield, Ace Music Superstore, and Kincaid's Music in Springfield. He currently gives lessons out of his home studio.
Steve met his future wife while teaching at Ace Music Superstore and was introduced to her by Mike Overly. It was not until 4 years after their first meeting that their paths crossed once again, and quickly they became lovers and best friends, then husband and wife. Together, they hope to create & play some great music, & have a lot of fun in the process.
